Hello Patriots Fans,

Well, after four years as hosts of the Claxton Shield, and two Shields under our belt, we pack up and head to Perth for this year's National Baseball Championship Series.

Currently, after inviting and trialling more than 50 players to our camps, we are down to around 24 players, all of whom are striving to make the final 21-man roster.  The club will be announced on January 5, and the series commences on January 19.

Our preparation this year has been the most determined and exciting since the commencement of my tenure as Manager.  Some new faces added to the rejuvenated champions of recent years have ensured a new found passion and pride for the commencement of this new era of Patriots Baseball.

We take this opportunity to remind and invite you to our only home series of the 2006/7 season, a three game series against the strong Californian Lutheran University team presently on tour in Australia. These games will be played at Blacktown Olympic Park on January 6, 7, and 8 (Saturday, Sunday, Monday) commencing 7.30pm each night.

We look forward to seeing you either at the CLU series at Blacktown where you will have a golden opportunity to farewell the team and obtain your favourite player's autograph - or in Perth, WA at the Championships.
